Al-Furat University
College of Civil Engineering in Raqqa was established by Decree No. 33 / 2006. It is considered one of the leading colleges in Al-Furat University that seeks to prepare civil engineers scientifically and practically qualified to meet labor market needs and participate in reconstruction.Study duration is five years, and upon successful completion of requirements, the graduate is awarded a Bachelor's degree in General Civil Engineering.
The College's mission is a scientific, engineering, technical, national, and comprehensive humanistic message centered on several key aspects:
1. Keeping pace with global scientific and engineering developments and promoting scientific research to contribute to raising the global evaluation of Al-Furat University sustainably and to contribute to the economic, social, and urban advancement of the nation.
2. Preparing distinguished and qualified human cadres for the nation's advancement and reconstruction, based on a strong scientific foundation that keeps pace with global scientific and technical developments.
3. Developing a sense of others, responsibility, love for work, fostering a spirit of cooperation and solidarity, promoting noble morals, adhering to virtuous social values, and upholding standards of honor, sincerity, transparency, and social justice.
4. Establishing cooperative relationships between the College and related colleges in other universities (local, Arab, and foreign) and creating work links with public and private sectors to graduate qualified cadres that meet labor market needs.
