The College of Petrochemical Engineering held a scientific trip to the Taim oil field on Saturday 4/25/2026 for the fourth year students of the Petroleum Engineering Department.

The students were received by Mr. Engineer Firas Al-Hamad, Director of Deir ez-Zor Fields, and the engineers and technicians working there.
In the beginning, the rules of security and safety in oil fields, the dangers of H2S, and ways to prevent it were explained by Mr. Muhammad Al-Tamah, and then the students went to the RTS station, where they learned about its sections and learned about the three-phase separator and the principle of its separation of gas, oil, and water, under the supervision of engineer Raghad Ibrahim and Mr. Muhammad Amin. Then explain the CBF station and learn about its sections in detail.
After that, the students visited some wells and got to know the surface units with their surface and subterranean sections, under the supervision of Engineer Aslan Suleiman and Engineer Saad Al-Aboud. Then the students went to see the repair excavator, which was carrying out a fishing operation for a variety of production pipes. The students learned about its sections and the fishing method, and then got to know the wellhead and the Christmas tree.
In conclusion, the students visited the central chemical laboratory located in the field, and learned about methods for measuring the percentage of salts and water present in oil.
All questions were answered, which enhanced the students' information.
