Under the guidance of the President of Al-Furat University, Dr. Munir Al-Aroud, the College of Civil Engineering in Raqqa organized a scientific trip for the top students in the college
To the University of Homs - Faculty of Civil Engineering,
The trip was supervised by “Dr. Bashar Abdel Nour and engineer Saja Al-Faraj”
The trip also included the following topics:
1- Conducting the “Marshall” experiment on the asphalt mixture.
2- An informational visit to the laboratories of the following colleges: Roads Laboratory - Building Materials Laboratory - Soil Mechanics Laboratory - Reinforced Concrete Laboratory - Surveying Laboratory - Environmental Engineering Laboratory - Hydraulics Laboratory - Irrigation Laboratory.
3- The visit included meetings with the engineers in charge of the laboratories, where they provided a detailed explanation to the students about most of the experiments and tests conducted on materials used in engineering projects and their importance in ensuring quality, safety and technical efficiency.
Finally, the students reviewed some of the experiences of postgraduate students (Master's and PhD).
